The Mantaray 142 arrived in the 19-20 season as the lighter-rider version of the original Mantaray. It isn't a simple scaled-down copy of the bigger boards, which is the whole appeal. The camber and flex were adjusted to suit the 142 length, so lighter riders get a true carving feel and room to move through tree runs.
The Short Camber profile works like a conventional camber, with a tweak that cuts down on edge-catching. The peak sits near the center of the effective edge, and both ends finish before the widest spots to blend into the nose and tail rockers. Paired with a fairly low camber height, you get smooth, adaptable turns.
