The Framework 3-In-1 lets you wear the shell on its own for milder days or zip in the insulating layer once temperatures drop, so one jacket covers a wider stretch of the season than a single-layer shell would.
Air-Flo vents dump heat fast when you're pushing hard, and stretch panels in a loose cut keep movement easy underneath a base layer or two. The shell still holds 20,000mm of waterproofing with fully taped seams, so wet weather doesn't get through the stitching.
