Burton pulled the 50/50 straight from its early 2000s pipe glove archive, back when halfpipe demands drove most of the brand's hand-protection decisions. That heritage shows up in the pre-curved fit, which keeps your hand sitting naturally around the bar instead of straining against flat seams.
Waterproofing and insulation handle the wet, cold days on hill, while a goat suede patch on the thumb wipes your nose without soaking through. The extended storm cuff blocks powder from creeping in, and a removable wrist leash keeps the glove tethered whenever you need bare hands for a minute.
