Getting a hood to sit under a helmet is a small battle, and the Ridge Kids Hood wins it. It's cut to go over the helmet so it sits comfortably without crumpling under the lid. It's a great pick for a kid who loves early starts before the sun has warmed things up.
The PolarBear high-pile fleece is 100% polyester, soft against the skin while it holds in heat. Underneath, a moisture-wicking mesh liner pulls sweat away from the skin. The front panel covers the face, which helps when the breeze picks up.
