When the snow turns wet by mid-afternoon, that 20,000mm waterproof rating earns its keep. The 3 layer stretch nylon gives you some give, and full seam sealing closes the stitch holes where water would otherwise sneak in. The 10,000g/m²/24hr breathability lets sweat escape during a run, so you're not stuck in a damp layer on the next lift. A Dupont / Teflon coating helps water bead off the surface.
