Boxy and relaxed, the 1996 Retro Nuptse Vest keeps the oversized baffles and shiny ripstop shell that turned the original into a mountain-to-city crossover hit. The oversize chest and shoulder logos carry over too, so there's no mistaking which vest this is.
The three-piece hood stows into the collar with its own drawcord when you're not using it. A VISLON center-front zip and secure-zip hand pockets are easy to work even with gloves on, and recycled nylon through the shell backs the 700-fill recycled down for warmth that packs down small.
