This jacket earns its place in the lineup with a warmth-to-weight ratio that doesn't ask you to sacrifice mobility for heat. The slim, hip-length cut works as well over a base layer at the resort as it does layered under a shell on colder days.
Underarm vents let you dump heat on the way up, and the removable hood adjusts to fit over a helmet with a rubberized snap and cord-lock system. The body fabric and lining run on recycled polyester, and the DRYVENT 2L shell handles the wet stuff so insulation isn't doing double duty as rain gear.
