The Backwoods Carbon is a versatile snowboard designed for freeride and powder conditions, with a wide nose and tapered tail. It has a mid-stiff flex, a Directional Freeride camber-dominant profile, and only 10mm of setback, making it nimble in trees, reliable on crud, and floaty in deep snow. Carbon fiber is used instead of fiberglass, and the board has a high-tech core made of paulownia and aluminum stringers with bamboo insert blocks, resulting in a lighter weight without sacrificing flex and pop. The Rugged Nylon topsheet is castor bean-based and white dominant, which helps shed snow and adds durability. Additionally, the Electra PTex 5920 Graphite base is designed for speed and has a minimalist black design to make repairs seamless. The touring bracket is shifted forward for easier kick-turns, and the semi-active Phantom Hercules clip provides a more responsive ride while balancing weight savings. Overall, the Backwoods Carbon is an excellent choice for snowboarders who want a board that can handle a variety of conditions while excelling in powder and freeride situations.
